Jeremy Hutton

Jeremy is a Toronto-based director, actor, composer, lyricist, sound designer, fight director, and production manager. He was the founding Artistic Director of the Toronto Youth Theatre (TYT) and previously served as Artistic Director of Hart House Theatre (HHT). Currently, he is the Production Manager at Crow’s Theatre. Jeremy holds a degree in classical music from the University of Toronto and has received multiple awards for his musical contributions over the years. His favourite directing and performance credits include Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, Macbeth, King Lear, and The Night of the Iguana (HHT); Lucky Stiff, City of Angels, Urinetown, and A Midsummer Night’s Dream (TYT); Romeo and Juliet, Hamlet, and Twelfth Night (CTP); as well as Othello, Julius Caesar, Alice in Wonderland, and Peter Pan (SBTS Halifax). Jeremy is also an accomplished musical theatre writer, having penned several musicals, including the FringeTO hit FairyTale Ending, the Merritt Award-winning Snow White, and the everpopular Robin Hood – The Legendary Musical Comedy.
